Jazz Fest visitor ops: parking, heat, Forsyth
45th Savannah Jazz Festival, Fri–Sun Sep 18–20, 2026. Forsyth Park shows are free. This page is how to get there, where to stand, and when to bail.
Go early or go later
Want a lawn spot near the stage? Get there before the first set.
Want less heat and fewer elbows? Skip the mid-afternoon peak and come for the later sets.
Friday Forsyth starts 6:30 p.m.; Saturday from 3:00 p.m. Full set list: savannahjazz.org/the-2026-lineup.
Sunday School Band Day is at District Live, 2:00 p.m. — not the Forsyth lawn.
TODO: Fri load-in congestion / earliest lawn access — Walker on-foot
TODO: WTOC Aug 26 listed some acts on Sunday; official lineup puts them Saturday at Forsyth — confirm before you plan Sunday
Parking near Forsyth

TODO: meter suspensions or extra weekend rules near Forsyth — Walker on-foot
City garages

Published rates on /2516 (fetched Sep 13, 2026): several garages Sat–Sun $5 flat; Whitaker and Eastern Wharf Sat–Sun $10 flat. Same chart lists Special Events $25/day that can override regular rates.
TODO: whether Jazz Fest weekend triggers Special Event $25 — do not assume
TODO: walk times from each garage to the Forsyth lawn — Walker on-foot; do not invent minutes
No Jazz Fest–dedicated shuttle found. City DOT downtown shuttle hours are on /2516 if you need them.
